In the 1850s, the meaning behind a woman wearing a light pink wedding dress was due to a papal decree. Pope Pius IX had stated that for women who were not virgins on the day of their nuptials, the traditional white wedding gown should be swapped out for something of a different hue.
Model measurements: Height 163cm (5ft 4in) / Chest 77cm (30.3in) / Waist 60cm (23.6in) / Hips 74cm (29.1in)
Condition: Used. The only defect it has are light stains around the silver settings with the diamonds inside. Silver corrosion has apparently stained the fabrics around the settings and a number of other spots around the dress, which under close inspection appear as localized coffee-colored spots. Dry cleaning was unable to remove those stains.
